You really should read this.

I know that the site hasn’t changed in a while, but… I’ve recently been working a much better alternative to the now-defunct 593 Project, as ALL content and webpages, no matter what (you heard me right :)) would be dynamically loaded as if your computer was on the other side of the school’s web filter :)  With more bandwidth comes more server capabilities, and I’m now working on implementing the feature for everyone.  Even though I have this fully working (with the exception of YouTube – that site’s complicated, yo), the school’s computers will not allow my current security certificate on this page because it’s not signed by a trusted authority.  What that means is, there is a secure connection between my server and you when using this feature, but nobody can verify for sure who is able to see what’s going back and forth since I signed my own certificate.  Obviously, nobody has the magic decryption keys but my server and your computer, but anyways…  There’s no way to get around it under my current configuration, since I don’t want to pay the exorbitant amount of money they want for a signed, trusted security certificate.  (even then, it’s questionable that it would work the way I want it to… frustrating, I know.)  I own http://daleb.us/, by the way, but it’s pretty much broken at the moment.   I’m getting on the workaround as fast as I can :P  This new capability will greatly increase the usefulness of my webserver :)  Stay tuned while I revamp and implement new features, and also finish up lingering migrations to OpenDrive – I thought I got all the games moved over, but I guess not :P

Update:

I got my fiber connection installed at home!

Speed test - the upload speed is how fast it will load on the internet at large

In case you were unaware, that’s FAST.  I’ll soon be moving all my hosted content back over to my personal server, as it is now many, many times faster than OpenDrive (free).

Cheers,

Dale

News.

Games loading slowly lately? It’s due to my filehosting – they limit my speeds to some pretty low numbers, and I keep getting closer and closer to my monthly bandwidth cap.  I’ve recently found a new filehost that will work, with double the downloading speed and 6 times the bandwidth cap :) So, I’ll be moving the games over to this new host (OpenDrive) and the games will be zippier than ever.  Update 1: I’ve switched over about half of the games, starting with the most played and the largest filesize, in order to cut down loading times.  Games that have been moved over to OpenDrive are denoted by “*OpenDrive enhanced” below the game.

Cheers,

Dale

And, on an unrelated note to those of you who are worried about my site getting blocked: I’ve got plenty of tricks up my sleeve before I’m gonna call it quits ;)  Just sayin’.

Welcome!

I see that you’ve found your way into my website. Make your way over to the Games page or use the drop-down menu to see what is currently online and ready to play. I take no responsibility if you start typing random things and get lost in pages that don’t exist. If you’re really interested, head over to the About page to see what it’s all about ;) You can also suggest changes to the site and games to be added to the site under the Suggestions tab. To see what I’m working on at the moment, visit the In Progress page.

Newest additions: Sleepy, Mario Motobike, and Donkey Kong ATV.

Info: Some of the games take a small amount of time to appear on the page. This is not my fault, but rather the way some of the games’ loading bars work. If it still doesn’t appear after roughly 20 seconds, there may be a problem with the game, and you should report it with the Website Suggestions form.

Update: I’ve fixed the scrolling problem on the flash games – but in the process I’ve had to cover up my drop-down menus on the game pages with the game itself… This will take a while to fix, as I will have to design an entire new content page structure.

Update 2: I’ve been working on the server side of the website in the past few days, and it’s not unlikely that a few little things are still a bit messed up, especially the submission forms… (everything should be back up and running again) I did, however, make a real mail account/server for the site, and you can now email me about the site at dale@daleb.hopto.org.
